Compare People~

Wednesday, March 10th, 2010

Do you sometimes feel envy of your peers that seem to be much better off that you today? Whether it was in term of career, financial, family, love or personal achievement?

My mother said “Do not compare between people or else you’ll never be happy” and how true it is. I heard of an ex schoolmate that earned twice as much as me in other country and it makes me green with envy.

Did she put more effort in her career or does she trades in more time than me? However it is of different industry and I guess I should be grateful of what I have now. After all, I have many friends who are not even at my level yet. =)

BAGs~

Thursday, January 7th, 2010

How many bags are enough for you?

For me I need many bags.

A few backpacks; for work or travel or go back to my hometown.

A few formal handbags; which I used to use for work but not anymore.

A few casual bags, big and small; for shopping, movies, dinners or casual outing.

A sling bag; normally for travelling.

A laptop bag; need I say more?

A luggage bag; of course for travelling, long distance.

And a few other types of bag. How bout you?

What is loyal and what is not?

My best friend confided in me that she gradually likes a guy friend that she used to like when she was in school. They have not been meeting up each other for quite many years and suddenly this guy appears in her life again. He gives her feeling of excitement like courtship again which has been slowing down with her and her boyfriend.

As a friend, I could only advise her to be careful not to let the sparks grow bigger and jeopardize her good relationship with her current boyfriend.

That’s much as I can do and I hope she is careful and do not fall into the water!

Time Flies~!

Wednesday, December 23rd, 2009

Have you ever noticed that if you do not monitor the date/day, it creeps very fast without you realizing it? Yes, in just a whoosh, it’s already Sept 2008 and ending of it!

Man, I thought 2009 has just arrived the day before and now it’s already end of the year without having me doing a lot of stuffs and appreciating the days. And so my age climb steadily and the time flies really so fast, I don’t know what it is chasing after. Christmas, again?

I wonder if I take one day at a time, will it still pass me by so speedily and greedily?  I read that time seems to pass faster when we fall into everyday routine and doing nothing new. Maybe that’s true and well, I don’t know how to stop it.

Time ain’t waiting for no one..

Travelling Tips~

Friday, December 18th, 2009

A trip success is not fully on the destination chose but the most important thing is the participants. I realized that after I joined a few trips which suppose to be good one but wasn’t as fantastic due to the people that went with me.

I realized no matter where you for a holiday, as long as you have people at the same frequency as you, you could have fun. It is more of the people than the place when you are having a holiday. Of course the destination must be attractive to you at the first place!

Although spontaneous trip could be fun but nothing beats planned and well researched information about the destination. Else it might turn up to be a disaster when everyone has different expectation and ideas of fun.

So, plan your trip well. And choose your travel mate carefully. Have fun!

Hi, Stranger~

Sunday, December 13th, 2009

One of the fastest ways to get to know a stranger is through a trip or holiday with them.

I have known quite many new friends through travelling together. They are either my excolleagues which I have barely spoken to, some friends of my friends or perhaps stranger in the same tour group.

It might be a little awkward at the first day of the trip but after a couple of days, we start to share our experience, making decision or enjoying the trip together and lead to more conversation.

It is certainly a good way to get to know people or to see their true colour too!

Sales Everywhere!

Tuesday, November 24th, 2009

There is just never ending sales in all shopping malls even though the economy is so bad!

There is Christmas sales, end of the year sales, new year sales and the coming Chinese new year sales! I am trying to resist all the temptation by not visiting those malls! It is hard to see all the bargained and discounted stuffs and not to be able to buy them.

So, are you able to hold tight to your money as well? ;)

Save Electricity~!

Thursday, October 22nd, 2009

The electric bill prices are going up as well after they announced the increased of petrol price. I think we could save more electricity within my household as there are five of us. Things that we could do to save more electricity :

-        have less warm shower

-        wash clothes less frequent (more clothes in one washing)

-        switch on less light at night (currently two light in the living room)

-        do not leave the fan switch on when you are not in the room (some does it frequently)-        do not open the fridge often for no reason

Don’t Panic~

What do you do if during the scanning of bags at the airport doesn’t allow you to bring the tripod into the plane as hand luggage? They insist that you have to check-in the tripod when you could carry it as hand luggage previously.

Your only concern is that the rough handling at check-in would spoil your expensive gadget.Do you argued with them or do you go to check in as instructed?Well, if there is another scanning counter, do not argue with them. Calm down, nod and proceed to another scanning counter and you might have your luck.

It happened to us and we managed to pull it off at the 2nd counter.I did the same method when my train card was bended and couldn’t be read at the machine. One of the counters refused to refund the value for me and thus I went to another station counter.

Yes, I got my refund value with the new card on the same day. ^.^

Beauty At Different Angle~

Thursday, June 25th, 2009

Beauty lies in the eye of beholder.

How true is the proverb! What we may perceive as beauty might be otherwise for the other persons and vice versa.

I guess it is all God’s work so that everything is fair, or almost fair. If everything has the same level of beauty to everyone, what will happen to the less beauty thing in the world?
