I’ve watched 2 movies over the weekend!It was Ice Age 3 and Transformer 2.One on Saturday and the other on Sunday.

The former one was quite hilarious although the story line was a little too simple. Well, what do you expect out of animation anyway. It was quite relaxing to watch such movie.

The latter was quite an action movies; full of robots and fights. It gets a little fuzzy and messed up when all the metals were thrashing each other. But at least it was a much better movie than Terminator 3. Enjoyed myself at certain part of the movies but it was too long for my liking. I checked my watch a little too often!

What’s next for me? The next Harry Potter, I guess.

Do you sometimes feel envy of your peers that seem to be much better off that you today? Whether it was in term of career, financial, family, love or personal achievement?

My mother said “Do not compare between people or else you’ll never be happy” and how true it is. I heard of an ex schoolmate that earned twice as much as me in other country and it makes me green with envy.

Did she put more effort in her career or does she trades in more time than me? However it is of different industry and I guess I should be grateful of what I have now. After all, I have many friends who are not even at my level yet. =)

House

Last weekend I was invited to a friend house for house warming. She just moved in after all the renovation recently and pretty excited about her new home.

I really like her kitchen cabinet and living room designs. She even has a cabinet to store all her recent wedding gifts which look pretty lovely. There’s also a guest room which is fully furnished as well. I sure hope I can afford to have house this nice in the future too.
Overall it was a pretty cool house warming party with all the close friends attending it.

Looks Matter!

As I was walking home from work, I was thinking how unfair it is that some people just look so beautiful and others are ugly. And don’t you tell me that appearance is not important at all, what matters is the heart. All of us know that to a certain level, appearance does matters, in fact a lot in this materialistic world.

So I was thinking that if everyone looks equally beautiful or equally ugly, then the world is not going to be interesting at all, right? And yeah, I got a point there, or so I thought.But hey, if you are the ugly one, how interesting could the world be? It would only be interesting if you are the pretty one and get more attention than others, no?

So, conclusion is, the world is unfair after all. Some people are born with silver spoons in their mouth, the others? Not even a spoon?

My Old Mattress..

I have been using my hometown mattress for almost 15 years, since I moved in to the house. I remembered my parents bought it from the lorry that roam around selling mattress. Thus the quality wasn’t a good one.

For the first few years we moved into the house, I slept on a lower bunk of double decker bed. As the weather was hot, I couldn’t really feel the wind from the ceiling fan as the upper bunk was hindering the wind from getting to my body.Thus I slept at one side of the mattress, the outer part as it was warmer on the inside.After a couple of years, one side of the mattress is flattened while the other side is not which made the mattress uneven. I have not slept under on the double decker bed for a long time as we have dismantle it, both side by side now. But I was still using the uncomfy mattress for a long time, many years to come.
My mother called me just now and told me that she has replaced the mattress for me with a good quality mattress! I am happy to hear that and felt touch that she cares after all. =)

“Soft Skill”

An old schoolmate buzzed me in messenger and we haven’t been talking for a long time, since she got married last year. It was nice to update with an old friends about lots of stuffs. We talked about our lives, jobs, travel and others. She suddenly told me that she wants to learn soft skill, people skill.

I asked her how she intends to do so. By experience, she replied.

What she meant by soft skill was being pretentious and I was surprise to hear that.I hate pretentious people who are faking all the time.

She said it is essential to survive in big company as she always thought that capable person was good enough but she realized that it isn’t true. Well, I just hope that she would use her ‘soft skill’ in her career and not to the people around home or else she wouldn’t survive friendship and family. =)

Tinted Moisturiser. Tried.

Over the weekend, I went shopping with both of my two best friends, looking for tinted moisturiser. I went to many counters like Estee Lauder, Shiseido, Clinique, Stilla, Bobby Browns and some others. Only three has tinted moisturiser and I had the promoter tried the for me.

It is the first time I see it and I felt that it is not up to my expectation. I mean I suppose it will works well but somehow I felt that it is almost same like foundation but perhaps more moisturising. And I have to apply loose powder on it as well and remove with make up remover.

Which makes me think why do I want to have it at the first place? Why don’t I use my existing foundation? Well I guess I am just lazy and I thought tinted moisturiser is a way out. Apparently not. And I have not buy it yet. Maybe I would. Maybe not. =)

A kissable lip?

Here’s a little advice to keep your lip soft, pretty and healthy! For girls and guys too!

1. Before you go to sleep, dab a generous amount of lip balm on your lip. Optionally, you can also use Vaseline.

2. In the morning, exfoliate your lip with your tooth brush softly before brushing your teeth. Yes, lip needs exfoliating too!

3. Before applying your lippie, dab a little lip balm on the lips, preferable with SPF to protect against UV. Apply lippie. It’ll look soft and smooth, kissable lip!

4. Occasionally use lip mask to pamper your lip!

Teeth Grinding~

I realised that I have been grinding teeth in my sleep and this freak me out a little. I do not know how long it has been going on but I’ve been told that I’ve been grinding for 3 consecutive nights.Is this due to stress, fatique or braces?

I am not so sure and thus I googled about the condition and found that it is labelled as Bruxism. It can cause fracturing, loosening or even loss of teeth! My goodness!

Apart from that, it could also affect jaws, result in hearing loss and change the appearance of the face.Some tips that I found out on how to prevent teeth grinding is as below :

- Avoid or cut back on foods and drinks that contain caffeine, such as colas, chocolate, and coffee.

- Avoid alcohol. Grinding tends to intensify after alcohol consumption.

- Do not chew on pencils or pens or anything that is not food. Avoid chewing gum as it allows your jaw muscles to get more used to clenching and makes you more likely to grind your teeth.

- Train yourself not to clench or grind your teeth. If you notice that you clench or grind during the day, position the tip of your tongue between your teeth. This practice trains your jaw muscles to relax

- Relax your jaw muscles at night by holding a warm washcloth against your cheek in front of your earlobe.

It was a pleasant surprise to get the response from my uncle in London and aunt in Singapore after all this years. I mean we seldom get in touch with each other over the years and have never been close with them.

As I got their numbers and have been recently visiting my aunt in Singapore, I texted her to wish her CNY greetings. I was elated to get her response late evening yesterday. My uncle also replied that he’ll see us soon, is he coming to M’sia again? I remembered the last time he came, he brought a box of White Owl cigars for my father.Well, hope I would not miss him if he drops again. Sometimes soon, I hope!
