My Fluffy Life~

This time round, I didn’t bring my laptop back to hometown for the long break. But guess what, I am still able to surf net and watch movies on lappy as my brother got an extra laptop this year and USB modem. All I have to bring back is my harddisk with all my movies and stuffs.

And the best thing is I am able to check my emails regularly so that it would not be spam as usual long holidays with all those junk emails and free insurance quotes.

My parents were discussing about an uncle of mine with my cousins today, when they came over for visiting. They were talking about my uncle who is a bit sickish of late due to many diseases; probably due to his highly sinful food intakes for the past many years.

I guess someday we are to pay for the food that we take especially when we are younger & stronger. My father seems to be wise and healthy when discussing it but it upset me a little when he took 3 chicken wings shortly after he left. One minute he was preaching about how to reduce stomach fat and the next minute he was walloping all the sinful stuffs in not too little portion.

I think I am overly concern about his health and I am just too worried that anything might happen to him. =(

Chinese New Year, always come a little too frequently or so I felt although it is just once a year. Maybe it is always the beginning of the year, which makes the presence a little too strong and a little too fast.

It is time to meet the relatives again and every year, I am surprised to see how fast the kids grow. The little toddler cousin is now 10 years old! The three children are now in their teen and college years and one even spoke about best seo software.

And of course, the elders are growing old as well. Another year..

I am always a lazy person when it comes to skin care and beauty regime. And even my brother was so much better at me, looking at his skincare regime that he does every day or every week.He got himself a white egg masque yesterday that supposedly good in get rid of blackheads. I tried using it yesterday and well, don’t really observe any difference. Maybe I need more blackhead? Anyway, I am just happy of the many samples of bb cream that I got through his purchases yesterday. =)

A day before the Chinese New Year, my parents, brother and I went for a last minute shopping trip at the New Jaya Jusco. We shopped for an 6 hours straight.

My brother was in a very generous mood and splurged at the skincare shop; buying some essence and organic face cream for my mother and some masque for himself. My father got a new pair of pants and shoes while I got myself 3 tops.

Indeed a nice shopping trip with family. =)

The other day as I was in the LRT on the way to work, I stood in front of the seats. Little did I realise that the lady who sat there was my ex-colleague whom I haven’t met for years! We chatted and caught up with each other.

Well, good luck to her and it’s a nice surprise to meet each other again.

The only time I wear a glasses is when I am using the computer. I made a pair of computer glasses to prevent radiation five years ago when I started working and have to face the computer for a minimum of 8 hours a day and sometimes I face it for more than 12 hours! *gasp*

Thus, I try to minimize any impact with wearing glasses, although I am not sure if it really helps with the amount of time I use the pc. In the middle of the glasses there are two rubbers that support the glass by the arch of your nose.The other day, one of the rubbers dropped and lucky thing I saw it. So I put it back myself and used it as normal for about a week. Whenever I used too long, I felt uncomfortable around the side of the nose, where the rubber was pressing it. I have to take it out for a while.

Today again, I felt uncomfortable after using for 2 hours and I took out my glasses, only to notice that I put the little rubber the wrong way!!! No wonder the discomfort..

There is this new trainee in friend’s office and she is quite ignorant in a lot of IT knowledge. Thus, they do not know what task to assign to her. Finally, the supervisor gave her a task to download all the pages in a tutorial websites! 

There are more than hundred of pages and she painstakingly taking days to download every single page! The poor girl!

She could have easily downloaded the whole web directory using website downloader that only needs a click to copy website that includes all the pages, images, sounds and video! If the download is interrupted, it could easily be continued.

Now is probably the time to start counting down to Chinese New Year. As a child, it used to be a very happy and much look forwarded event. But I guess the spirit isn’t as strong as it used to be for the past ten years or so. Aging seems to make everything seems less exciting, or is it just me?

Anyway, just need to get ready and hope this year would be a good one. Packing my stuffs a couple of days before going back, ensure that I bring everything including the cla results.And so 6 days to go!

The other day, I wanted to get some cough medicine from the clinic as mine was running out. I reached at 9.32 pm to the clinic and waited a while for the receptionist to serve me.
I told her that I wanted to bottle of cough medicine and I have taken it before. Guess what? She said that it is already past 9.30pm and thus she was not allow to sell medicine! Without seeing the doctor apparently.
Geez.. what type of rule is this? We already had the prescription before and it is not as if we were asking for adipex or some addictive medicine. Well, cough medicine doesn’t count, doest it? :p
